Use your Level Card

You can use your Level Card to pay for eligible goods and services according to your plan’s coverage. Eligible charges are covered by your benefits balance, and you can always see how much of your balance is remaining by visiting the Activity section of the app.

If you have the virtual Level Card, your card information can be entered into any point-of-sale system. If you have the physical Level Card, make sure to activate it by following the instructions in the Card section of the Level App. After you activate your card, you can use it just like any other payment card — by swiping, tapping, or inserting the chip. 

The Level Card can only be used to pay for eligible goods and services. If you've used your Level Card for an ineligible expense or go over your balance, you’ll be prompted to make a payment in the app. Level will send email reminders every week until you make your payment. If you don’t make your payment, your card may be locked, and the ineligible expense will be reported to your employer.

Receipts

If Level needs a receipt to process your transaction, you’ll get a notification. Follow the instructions to upload or take a picture of the receipt. Receipts should include the date of purchase, your name, the name of the merchant, a short description of the item or service, and how much you paid. 

You can upload multiple images for a single transaction. If you need to send an additional receipt after submission, or if you uploaded the wrong receipt by mistake, you can send it directly to our support team through the Level App.

If you’ve lost the receipt for your transaction, select the transaction in the Activity section of the Level App, then select I don’t have a receipt. You can tell us about the purchase to confirm it follows your plan guidelines, and we’ll process the transaction according to your plan’s rules. Alternatively, you can choose to pay back the full amount of the transaction.

Level will send receipt reminders every week until you upload a receipt. If you haven’t provided a receipt or more details about your purchase after two months, you’ll be asked to pay out of pocket for the transaction.

If your receipt shows that you made an ineligible purchase, you’ll be prompted to make a payment in the app. Level will send email reminders every week until you pay the ineligible expense. If you don’t pay it, your card may be locked, and the ineligible expense will be reported to your employer. 

International travel

If you're based in the United States, but traveling internationally, you can use your Funds abroad with your Level Card. For Dental and Vision Funds, only emergency care is covered outside the United States.

Make payments

To make your payment, just select the transaction and follow the instructions. You can add a bank account to make secure payments. After you make a payment, the transaction will show as complete. Note: payments made on the same day will appear as one line item in your bank account.

If you'd prefer not to link your bank account, you can pay your balance by physical check. Make the check payable to Level Inc, and add the transaction ID to the memo line. To find the transaction ID, visit the Activity section and select the transaction. The transaction ID should begin with DC or VC.

Mail the check to Level Inc. at PO Box 1461, New York, NY 10013. Once we receive your check, we will update your transaction as paid, and you'll receive a confirmation email.
